Player 1: WASD · Player 2: Arrow keys. Both play their own half — highest score when both crash wins.
How versus works
The screen splits into two half-size boards (12×24 each). Both snakes run on the same tick, eat their own food, and die on their own walls. When both players have crashed, the higher score wins — and ties are ties.
Because both players share the speed curve, the pace accelerates as either side scores. A cautious player who farms safe food can outlast a greedy rival who sprints across the board.
Versus etiquette & tactics
- Agree who is Player 1 before starting — WASD feels natural to some, arrows to others.
- Watch your rival's length in your peripheral vision; the psychological pressure is real.
- If your opponent crashes first, you keep playing — every extra food widens your lead.
- The d-pad below the board controls Player 1 on touch devices.
